Leroy

"We don't need no protection from no jive turkeys!"
Leroy, Pico 2

Leroy is the de facto leader of the Ghettobots, accompanied by his colleagues Roc and José. First appearing at the end of Pico's School, he was meant to be one of the main antagonists of Pico 2. He would presumably serve as the final boss, as he was intended to be the strongest member of the group.

General information

Physical appearance

Leroy sports a 1970s-esque attire: a violet dress shirt, purple pants, brown shoes, gold jewelry and a purple Afro pick. In his re-design by MindChamber, he has platform shoes and is now seen holding a pimp cane.

Personality

Befitting his appearance, Leroy's personality reflects that of '70s blaxploitation characters—speaking in a stereotypical "jive turkey" dialect and walking with a pimp-like strut. At first glance, he comes off as a wise-cracking, arrogant and rude person, but he is also rather sadistic, clearly enjoying seeing those who either slight him or disrespect his authority suffering through intense pain, often letting his colleagues do the dirty work.

Abilities

Seeing as he is the leader of the Ghettobots, Leroy is potentially the strongest of the group, with his stats in strength, endurance, agility and intelligence being all maxed out. Despite this revelation, he has yet to display his true powerset.

History

Pico's School

In Pico's School, Leroy and the other Ghettobots are seen at the ending, replacing the students who died during the Goth Punks' attempt at taking over the school. Once they arrive, however, Pico immediately becomes suspicious and pulls out his gun to counter a possible attack.

UFA

In UFA, Leroy is briefly mentioned in the opening sequence. He is revealed to have been "controlled" by Pico following the events of Pico's School, as he and the other Ghettobots have been preventing the Penilians from storming Earth for a century, until Pico eventually dies of old age.

Pico vs. Überkids

In Pico vs. Überkids, Leroy makes a cameo appearance in the opening of the game, alongside Roc and José.

Pico 2

In the demo for the cancelled Pico's School sequel Pico 2, Leroy and his fellow Ghettobots make their presence known at the school. It is revealed in an opening flashback that after their spaceship is shot down by Darnell and his crew, he intimidates the group and orders Roc to knock out Darnell, then made their way to the "west side".

Leroy makes his next appearance at the playground with the other Ghettobots; he proceeds to mock Darnell and, once again, sics Roc on him. He then invites Pico to a standoff at West Philly, that is, if he wants his "jive turkey friend" to live. This is all that's currently known about Leroy's role in Pico 2, and it's unknown how the final confrontation between him and Pico would have occurred.

Pico Roulette

In Pico Roulette, Leroy appears as a playable character.

Pico's Unloaded

In Pico's Unloaded, Leroy has a shared cameo appearance alongside Roc and José. Here, they own a milkshake spot named Shake-It, and as a beaten-up Pico heads inside for some refreshment, he hands him a milkshake only to crush it in his hand. Pico gets angry and grabs a mop as a weapon to fight the Ghettobots.
