The DJ was a minor character in the cancelled Pico 2. He was originally going to act as the main opponent in a DJ competition against Pico in a mini-game.

General information

Physical appearance

DJ is a dark-skinned male wearing a sleeveless blue and red basketball jersey with a golden number three symbol on it with a matching doo-rag, baggy dark green jeans with one pant leg pulled up to the thigh, and dark blue sneakers with cream white soles and symbols reminiscent of the Nike logo. When speaking, he is shown to have a gold tooth. He is also shown to have black hair, as seen in the unfinished DJ mini-game.

Personality

From what can be seen in the demo, DJ is intensely defensive of his culture, and can be harshly judgmental of other people, specifically "white folk". While living in Center City, he has become angry at the gentrification of his neighborhood and views it as disrespectful. He angrily calls out the poor living conditions in his community, singling out McGibbles' incredibly low payments and the failing education system. Although DJ takes great pride in his turntabling skills, he is willing to let Pico prove that he's "no ordinary white kid".

History

Pico 2

DJ was going to serve as a boss for Pico 2. In the game, he and his two friends were blocking the entrance to the El Train system into West Philly, acting in protest of white people coming to Philly and "honkifying" their culture. After talking to Pico, he gives him two challenges: a DJ battle against him and a dance-off against Dax at Club Cool, in exchange for access to the El Train.
