If you are looking for the 2013 April Fools' game, see Pico's School 2 (2013 video game).

Pico 2 was a cancelled Flash game developed by Tom Fulp as a sequel to the original Pico's School. Two different, real versions of the game were known to be developed, but they were both cancelled. Only Newgrounds supporters received the opportunity to play two prototype builds of the game, one with art by MindChamber and the other by Tom Fulp. These demos were not shared to the rest of the public. On October 18, 2022, they would be later removed from supporter access by Fulp.

Plot

During an ordinary day in class, three new students join the class: Roc, José, and Leroy. However, these new students are actually the Ghettobots, sent from space by the Penilians to eliminate Pico and the rest of the humans on Earth. So once again, it's up to Pico to stop them and save the world before it's too late.

Trivia

A single frame of Pico holding a MP5K.
  • On Newgrounds, the MindChamber demo has an E rating, even though it features adult content.
  • In the opening cutscene, Pico says that the events from the first game only happened a week ago, despite the ending of the first game stating that the Ghetto-bots joined the class "6 months later".
  • The DJ Competition seems to be based off the 1996 rhythm game, PaRappa the Rapper.
  • If one pays attention when Pico takes out his AK-47, in the first few frames he pulls out a MP5K before it quickly switches to the rifle.
  • According to composer Shok, the lyrics in Center City's theme is "Pico 2, you go boom boom".[1]
  • MindChamber had planned to get Tom Fulp's permission to put a cameo of Otis in Pico 2, but it's unknown whether he accepted or denied the request.[2]
  • In one of the backgrounds of Pico 2, there is a plane going into two buildings. This is a direct reference to the September 11 attacks, which had already occurred a month ago while Pico 2 was being reworked.
  • A Kickstarter for the full version of Friday Night Funkin' announced that if it reached $5,000,000 in pledge goal funding, Pico 2 would be legitimately finished, remade, and implemented into the game, as well as remaking the original Pico's School. This was proven unlikely to happen, as the Kickstarter did not hit the proposed goal.
  • Tom Fulp stated that Pico 2 was largely influenced by his freshman year at college.[3]
