Looking at the .swf files of Pico 2, it was discovered to contain unused code and sprites.
MindChamber Demo
- Three different school backgrounds
- Darnell's room
- Animations of Pico and Dax dancing intended for the dance competition in Club Cool, along with ending poses. Oddly, Pico has a looped version of this animation.
Darnell's room.
A section of Club Cool that appears in the unused DJ competition.
Ditto. This animation is used in Resident Pico.
Unfinished Boss Battle
- José on a mech
- Sprites for double MAC-10 pistols, which are assigned to the inaccessible "Mode 4". These predate their appearance in Pico's Unloaded by 3 years.
- An animation of Pico being decapitated
- Various content utilized in Resident Pico, such as Zombies, its title, and Nene's sprites
- A broken Pico that only moves with the arrow keys, and has no animation for movement
- A different school background
- Different Darnell house sprite and new house perspective
- The interior of My Big Joystick Arcade
- "Press Z" text bubble
- "Press Z to enter/exit/talk" text at the bottom of the screen
- Different map position UI
- Different controls
- "Press Z to continue!" instead of "Click here to continue!"
Pico being decapitated, from Resident Pico.
José on his mech walking sideways. The animation extracted incorrectly because the top of the mech has an animation that shouldn't normally play.
Other
- The Goth Kids, intended to be a group of bosses for the game.[1]
- The Bounty Hunter,[2] meant to randomly show up as a boss that would be impossible to beat until obtaining what you needed.[3]
