Pico's World is a now-defunct hub created for all official Pico content on Newgrounds that operated from 1999 to 2002. The first version mainly just explained what Pico is, while sharing fun facts about the characters and a link to each of their games provided in their trivia page. In the second and most recent version, it allowed players to play all the released games at the time in the Pico franchise.
The intro to the 2000 version of Pico's World displays a plane crashing. After waiting for a couple of seconds, the same plane will fly in and out at random.
This plane was a pre-existing asset from Darnell Plays With Fire.
The background image of Earth would later be reused by Tom Fulp in the 1999 Flash game, Wasted Sky.
Nene being established as "enjoying necrophilia and bestiality" would be retconned years later by Tom Fulp as "nasty internet rumors" and therefore, rendered non-canon.[1] Though, it is possible that he doesn't remember writing said character traits.
However, Pico's occupation as a "wannabe DJ" would be used as a subplot for the cancelled Pico 2, meaning some facts about the characters could still be considered canon.
