An amazing pseudo-3D remake of Pico's School! - Newgrounds Description
Pico's School remake is a fanmade remake of Pico's School created by DeadToast and released on April 30, 2006. It was submitted to Newgrounds to celebrate the very first annual Pico Day. This Flash game is rendered in a pseudo-3D format and features a more detailed art style, with Pico being made to more resemble his current design by MindChamber.

The game shares the storyline of the original Pico's School, but rendered in a 2.5D perspective with semi-realistic character designs. While all the original areas and enemies were kept, they were executed in different ways. New methods for Pico to combat the Goth Punks were introduced, such as dodging the obstacles thrown by Alucard using the arrow keys and the final fight with Cassandra seen from a first-person view. Additionally, the option to choose Pico's dialogue is removed, further streamlining the script.

Reception
Much like the original game, Pico's School remake was met with generally favorable reviews. Users ended up praising its improved gameplay and graphics, and also its faithful retelling of the original Pico's School. On Newgrounds, it obtained more than 900,000 views, receiving a review score of 4.10/5.00, and would also go on to be featured on the site's frontpage. Though, despite receiving positive reviews, it has also drawn criticism. Some of the new gameplay elements were addressed as being too slow and sluggish, with the change from mouse control to that of the keyboard seen as unnecessary. Others even criticized the game's art style, calling it "ugly".
Additionally, Pico's School remake is featured in the Pico Day 2006 collection.

Trivia
- The preloader for the game displays a puppet of Pico, which the player can interact with using the mouse.
- The final battle is the only other sequence in the game that offers mouse control.
- Cassandra's human form is redesigned into a male in this game.
- Unlike in the original Pico's School, Pico cannot kill Alucard after he has been defeated.
- Cyclops' section is now a full-on boss battle, rather than a simple event like in the original game.
- The stalls in the bathroom cannot be interacted with, thus consequently removing the scene with the nameless student pooping in the boy's restroom.
- The turd in the janitor's closet is interactable, as Pico can step over it.
