Nene tries to escape Camp Hostility. - Newgrounds Description
Escape from Camp Hostility is an "interactive movie" co-created by Luis & TrueDarkness, and released to Newgrounds on April 30, 2007. Even though it is a submission made for that year's Pico Day, it is credited as an entry for "Nene Day". Likewise, it follows Nene as she narrowly escapes certain death from the titular summer camp.
Plot
The game opens with a cutscene showing the titular "Camp Hostility", a summer camp that recently suffered a gruesome fate as Darnell, an Überkid, and Pico are all revealed to be brutally mauled to death by a black grizzly bear. Nene then cautiously approaches the bear, who stops eating Pico's intestines to attack her.
An action sequence commences as Nene runs from the bear, dodging many obstacles in her way. She manages to leave the bear behind, only to realize she's headed towards a cliff. Finding no other option, she makes a leap of faith, falling in midair. Luckily, she manages to grab a hold of a nearby falcon, and uses the bird to fly through the forest, evading more obstructions as she lands safely on the ground.
Just as Nene succeeds in escaping the dreaded camp, her life comes to a sudden end as a speeding car mows her down, leaving nothing behind but her severed head, ending the game.
Reception
Upon release, Escape from Camp Hostility was met with moderate-to-positive reception. Various users praised the game for its entertaining gameplay, though some criticism was made towards the unfair difficulty. On Newgrounds, its last recorded score was an average of 3.88/5.00, and it had amassed over 310,000 views. It was also featured on the front page, but earned no awards.
Additionally, it was featured on the Pico Day 2007 collection before being removed from the site, likely due to copyrighted music.

Trivia
- With this submission, the typical Pico Day preloader is altered to be a unique "Nene Day '07" preloader. It completely replaces Pico with Nene, who lands on the ground and pulls out a sharp knife instead of a gun.
- The main menu uses the song "X (The Greatest Love)", made by South Korean band Turbo. This may explain why the game is currently unavailable on Newgrounds, due to it using copyrighted music.
- There are two difficulties made available for the playthrough, "Easy" and "Hard"; with "Easy", you are given checkpoints should you fail a mini-game (this is dubbed "pussy-mode"). In the "Hard" difficulty, however, there are zero checkpoints.
- This would be the second time that Luis used the music track "Techno Fun5 Fixed" by czer323, a song he had previously used in The Perfect Murder.
- If you keep bumping into obstacles in the first mini-game, you will be treated to a fail cutscene where Nene will be mauled to death by the grizzly bear. When you do the same in the second, Nene will slam into a large rock, crushing her skull and killing her instantly.
- If you manage to win the game, you will be treated to a special reward: Nene dancing in a pink bikini.
- In the Extras section, under "Nene's Faves", both Nene Interactive Suicide and Pico Sim Date are listed; this was made a shout-out to Tom Fulp and Moosh.
