Draco is a minor boss character and antagonist in Samurai Asshole. He is a dragon deity who acted as the protector of Earth's inhabitants before the interference of Samurai Asshole.

General information

Physical appearance

Like many dragons that were commonly depicted in Eastern mythology, Draco generally resembles a giant snake-like creature: green scaly skin, long horns, yellow reptilian eyes, crescent-shaped nostrils and a long snout. His exact length or size is unclear, as his long serpentine body is only visible to a certain extent, and he also appears to have no limbs.

Personality

As one of the legendary divine beings of Earth, Draco is a benevolent, all-seeing gods to the mortals who live below him. He seeks to protect the Japanese villagers from whatever harm comes their way; as much, his strength is so great that even otherworldly creatures aren't a match for his power. When he witnesses the massacre that Samurai Asshole is committing, he intervenes and summons the blood-lusted samurai to the heavens so that he may end his crusade. Unfortunately, Draco fails in his attempt despite his best efforts.

History

Samurai Asshole

In Samurai Asshole, Draco summons the infamous samurai into the heavens to swiftly end him before he continues on his murderous rampage. However, after a hard-fought battle, the almighty deity ultimately fails and is brutally decapitated by the warrior. However, after his defeat, he warns the samurai that he is doomed to fail after having challenged the gods.

Quotes

"No one slaughters my children and lives!"
Draco, Samurai Asshole
"You have challenged the gods, and you shall lose..."
Draco, Samurai Asshole

Trivia

  • The concept of Draco seems to originate from the Greco-Roman constellation of the same name. In Greek mythology, Draco was depicted as the dragon Lacon, who guarded the Golden Apples of Hesperides only to be defeated by Hercules; He is also regarded as the dragon who guarded the Golden Fleece, and the dragon that the goddess Athena defeated when the Olympian gods fought the Titans for ten years.
  • Draco is the second god/deity to be introduced in the Pico series, following God.
  • Since he is a god, it is unlikely that Draco remained dead, despite him being beheaded by Samurai Asshole.
