Screenshot of a Newgrounds message sent by TomFulp titled "Re: Did This Character inspire Pico?", sent 11 minutes before the page was viewed/screenshot was taken. The message reads: "These were indeed the inspiration for Pico, although Darnell and Nene were an extension of that style, vs having a direct correlation the way Pico does (unless I'm forgetting something with Nene). I've never been able to find pics of this packaging when I search for it!" The message then quotes another message:
